All necessary equipment is available to test and inspect coatings in accordance with national NEN standards and BRL guidelines. Industry-specific tests according to KIWA, SKH, CUR, VMRG, and HISWA are also performed. Furthermore, tests are conducted according to international standards such as ISO, EN, ASTM, NACE, and DIN. Finally, project-specific investigations are carried out in accordance with Shell, Agip, Norsok, NAM, Aramco, PDO, and TenneT standards and specifications.

The laboratory can also assess coatings on their aesthetic properties. Research into the influence of pre-treatments also plays an important role. Subsequently, application properties and application conditions are also evaluated. The Nebest COT laboratory has its own test site for field exposure testing according to ISO 2810.
